Four Small Paws – where your dog can make new friends, hang with buddies, learn, play & chill!

Based in Central Upper Hutt, Four Small Paws provides a fun and safe environment to give your dog play time and socialisation with other dogs that match their size.

At Four Small Paws we offer a large, bright play area with comfortable seats and beds to provide a home-like atmosphere. We believe that not only do dogs need play and companionship every day, they also need structure. Every day our pups have play, rest times and socialising space with their friends. Your dog will enjoy this stimulating and caring environment.

At Four Small Paws your dog will quickly feel ‘at home’. They will make new friends and enjoy their time here. After your time at work you will be greeted by a happy, tired, well-loved dog who is ready to go home with you.

Amazing doggy daycare and they really care about the dogs. Amazing transformation from the new owner and staff. Parker thinks he should go every day now.

Daisy & Dougal love Four Small Paws daycare. They're each free to 'do their own thing' - which can be very different given their different ages, temperaments and physical state!

Great facilities for small dog day care. Our Dogs love it.

Took my dogs here for a half day to see how they'd go. One of which needs to be socialized more and it seems to have worked. The staff are amazing and very friendly. Have booked for a full day 🐾🐾🐾

Our dog Coco absolutely loves going to day care at Four Small Paws. She always comes home very happy. We get regular updates showing us how much fun she has there. You can tell the owner Taylor and the team genuinely care about the dogs and treat them like family. We have complete trust leaving Coco with Taylor and the team — highly recommend Four Small Paws!

We’ve been really impressed with the recent changes.
There’s a clear focus on thoughtful, dog-centred care, from sunshades and good crate/rest management to meaningful enrichment and supervision throughout the day.

The dogs come home happily tired but still calm, settled, and emotionally intact. We’ve also noticed positive changes at home, including better recall, easier crate settling, improved sleep, and even new play skills.

The owner/operator is engaged and present, and communication is excellent. A special mention to Lulu, who is outstanding and super knowledeable with the dogs, attentive, caring, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing.

It’s a calm, well-run and fun environment, and our dogs clearly love it.

My doggo was with Four Small Paws for 9 days. She came out with her tail and ears up, clean, happy and nose wet - excited! Clearly she enjoyed her stay and was very well looked after. Highly recommended.

We highly recommend Four Small Paws and the team. They look after Poppy very well & update their website with pictures as much as possible. It's also great to know that they are now open all year round for boarding also 😊 Poppy is always very happy & exhausted when she comes home.

My shy pup loves his morning at Four Small Paws. He has the opportunity to interact with other little dogs, play and when he comes home he sleeps for a couple of hours.
